Eulogy

Where are we going? To what kind of future? When even the currency is digitalized, our future imaginaries can never exclude the more-than-human objects, water, plants, all the entanglements of human existence with living and nonliving entities, the nature. They are the reflection of humanity, while we consume them endlessly. Natural crystals and metals are initial the rocks beneath the surface. Now, humans aggressively give them value with the greediness of glow. They have become the medium of exchange. Where is the power of these ancient worship? When humans adopt this numbness from the development of nature, where will we be in this homogenized society? How can we consider them as a material? Or the opposite, it is the time of human as material, the servant of nature. We chose the objects of nature, water tank, vegetables as our manipulate material. The purpose is to reflect how human harvest the nature with no grace. To grieve over the nature’s decease, we build the ruin that storage the digitalized resources, a tower for the longing of material, and raise a monument of memory. There a swarm of sound echoing the very last of eulogy to the natural beings. The Ruin Manipulated from the water tank. The sanctuary tower Manipulated from vegetable, broccoli The Monument Morphed from water tank and broccoli
