Boladé Gabriel And Valentin

The three objects that have been scanned — a fragment of a concrete wall, a column, and a staircase — stemmed from our individual interests: erosion, which led to a focus on concrete as a primary material; mobility, which informed what the initial scans might be, but also what the final output might look like; and light, which was a concept that drove the final artifact. Upon completion of the scanning, the objects were manipulated via grasshopper scripts that influenced form in a variety of ways — spiralisation, inflation, colour gradients, and introducing noise. The manipulations were composed leading to the production of a final form that is occupiable and acknowledges architectural requirements of mobility, lighting, and threshold.
