01 Object - Mouse Trap: I chose to scan a mousetrap because of how the object might be used in a living space. The mousetrap is a seemingly simple object but has mechanisms that allow for stillness and immediate motion. I like the thought of the mouse trap being scanned in its state before the violent action it was invented to do. Although the trap is set, seeing it empty is a relief from the guilt of killing a mouse. Scanned using picture mode on the PolyCam App.
02 Collection of Objects - Soft and Sterile: The collection of objects here aren't menacing to a human but are a minefield to a mouse. They include soft articles like a pillow and crocheted blanket as well as weapons to pests like cleaning fluid, a shoe, and mousetrap. My new mouse roommate isn't pleased.
03 Space - Living Room Couch: This is where the action will occur. The objects centralized in the previous collection reside here, and all play an essential part in my poor new roommates' death. The broom and mousetrap are on a much smaller scale next to my large human objects. I used the LiDar setting (compatible with newer iPhones) on the Polycam app to scan the space. The lamp in my room might have affected what properties disappeared, as the broomstick in the shady corner is a bit glitchy.
