I began this project by finding an object with folds, creases, curves, bends, wrinkles, i.e my old, slouchy backpack that I found sitting in the corner of my room. For my second one, I thought to experiment a little bit on rolls of fabric-y objects organized according to its size. These objects lay “flat” on the surface and take up about 100 cm x 200 cm x 20 cm of space, forcing me to document these objects from a low angle. For my last attempt, I decided to document a long, narrow gap between two greenhouses. The narrowness of the space limited the angle from which I could capture its surfaces. The shots of the hallway I produced were almost identical as the hallway is plane and visually unvarying from the opening all the way to the end. It’s cool to see how Recap was still able to make sense of the dimension of the object and stitch the seemingly identical images.
