1. Trinitron TV
I processed photographs of a Sony Trinitron TV with an SMPTE testing screen through four different photogrammetry applications in order to reveal different interpretations of a physical and digital object. Meshroom created fascinating distortions in the TV screen. Autodesk Recap Photo and Reality Capture revealed more physically realistic interpretations of the object. Qlone did great on several tests, but my living quarters were not conducive to using a larger track mat.
2. Clay Glitches – A Collection
Using several clay representations of a digital glitch processed through Meshroom and Recap, the resultant scaleless glitches create new physical interpretations of digital assets and form.
3. Objects in Space
By creating a landscape of objects on my bed, I am challenging the bed's function as a place of rest by showing digital distractions that disrupt the fabric of sleep. Through Reality Capture, the TV screen distorts, but the minimally textured ionic column is well articulated.
