Serendipitous Discoveries En Route to Gund
While on my commute walking to Gund Hall, I decided to visually document a few findings on the way. The first is a vibrant blue mailbox by the U.S. Postal Service, of which had a relatively busy backdrop but its vibrant color contrasted fairly well against these other colors. The second scene is a circular paved area surrounded by flowers as one traverses into the Gund backyard. I found it interesting how the resulting model captured considerable depth despite not so well the paved circular ground areas. Hence, it tried to capture the sky as an "inner surface of a room." Finally, I photographed dogwood berries, which modeled best and even the reflectivity of the parts of the berries that had been bruised and drew liquid was also captured in the photogrammetric model.
