Dutra Brown And Nico Carmona Guzman
Project Title Goes Here!
Having met at the beginning of the Fall 2020 semester, and sharing a studio class together, Nico and Dutra have found themselves in many a zoom chats over the past few months. The conversations have been defined by teams chats, file sharing, and the visible corners of their bedrooms that are visible in their zoom portraits. This project is an early scaffolding of the “zoom room” that Nico and Dutra find themselves in so often. The initial selection of scans came from objects visible in their zoom portraits: a corner molding detail, a radiator, a big red mug –objects that have no importance to their owners but have suddenly become extensions of character to the viewer. The new zoom room is comprised of four walls: 2 from Nico’s location and 2 from Dutra’s. Scans, messages, and renders flow freely as a representation of the conversations had and to be had, taking advantage of photogrammetry's material fidelity to stitch together a collaborative, hybrid environment.
